According to ZDF, the first German daily hospital series shows the daily hospital routine in the idyllically situated Seeklinik in the fictitious Sonnenberg in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps.
Clinic director Prof. Dr. Johanna Lindner (Bettina Redlich) leads a professional team of doctors, nurses and caregivers who sacrificially care for the infirmities of their patients and live through both highly dramatic and humorous stories in the stressful hospital environment. The usual relationship stories for a soap opera – in this case between the hospital staff – naturally play a major role in this series.
